In 1981, Kernion “Kern” T. Schafer, CPA established Schafer Group Ltd., LLC. Over the years, Mr. Schafer hired Paul A. Huner, CPA (2000), Danette H. Murret, CPA (2001), and Lacey A. Shipp, CPA (2005) to serve as managers of the firm. Since then, they have invested their time in developing the firm and serving the clients of Schafer Group Ltd., LLC.
In 2019, Mr. Schafer decided it was time for his legacy to live on through Paul A. Huner, Danette H. Murret, and Lacey A. Shipp. Therefore, in 2020, HMS Schafer Group, LLC was formed to serve the clients of Schafer Group, Ltd., LLC.
